FAQ

Business law questions

Do I need a lawyer to form an LLC in New Jersey?

You can file the Certificate of Formation yourself, but an attorney drafts the operating agreement that governs ownership, decision-making and what happens if a partner leaves. That document prevents most future disputes.

What should a shareholder or operating agreement include?

At minimum: ownership percentages, capital contributions, voting rights, management authority, buy-sell provisions, transfer restrictions, and how disputes are resolved.

How much does it cost to form a business with your firm?

Our formation packages start at $1,500 for a single-member LLC including the operating agreement, EIN and state filings. Multi-member entities are quoted after a free consultation.
